WITHIN THE SHADOW, BRIGHT
Scripture: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." Psalm 91:1 (NASB)
No matter what, the call upon us all is to 'Shine Jesus' light'. When life gets dark, or when good things happen we are to shine Jesus' light. Happy, or sad, we must shine Jesus' light. Whether we feel like it, or whether we don't, we just gotta shine Jesus light. Having His Spirit within us the work we have is yielding, and reflecting the light of Christ, knowing Him as the light of the world. Having both His thoughts and feelings in His Word, we have the pages to turn to to know His will. We have the counsel of His Spirit, and it is perfect. We can pray.
"Jesus said I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life. " John 8:12 Dwelling... Abiding... all synonymous with walking with the light of life, Jesus' gift as well as invitation. His invitation as well as His prompting. His prompting as well as His requirement. Light received is light to be shone. Shine Jesus' light!
"And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He said 'Take this and share it among yourselves ...' And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.' And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood." Luke 22:17, 19-20
In remembering, live out the gift of life... shine Jesus' light. In His 'secret place', His 'shelter', there is discovery which is salvation. In His 'shadow' there is only light.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your Grace and Mercy which overshadows with brightness our existence, and meets our needs, and with the clarity of wisdom touches our wants and our will. Thank You for the patience come of a forgiving heart. Lord lead my awakening and my reach to bless you. O' soul of me, shine Jesus' light.
