CHARACTERISTICS OF A GODLY MAN
Scripture: "Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. 44 And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:43-45 43
The godly man’s power is Holy Spirit driven,
I decrease, He increases, which persuades righteous living;
So, when you are searching for a godly man,
Look for leadership, initiative, a servant, and a family man;
A sincere man willing to confess, repent, and suffer long,
A God-fearing man willing to admit when he is wrong;
Trustworthy and humble, devoted to his headship,
Respectable in His deeds, aiming to build a relationship;
Far beyond a good man, but the reputation of a blessed man,
He kneels only for the Lord, while others take social stands;
When he walks in a room, he looks to serve, not to be served,
Denying his glory, so the Lord’s grace can be seen and heard;
He seeks to build a relationship to sustain spiritual wealth,
His priority is the Lord, others, and then himself;
So, it’s not about how he looks, his status, or even his smarts,
The godly man is a servant leader who is after the Lord’s heart;
While many think this position is cherished or celebrated,
Often, His role is lonesome, dedicated, complicated, or separated;
Therefore, the godly man puts on the full armor of God,
He knows the battle is against evil forces, not flesh and blood.
Prayer: Father in heaven, Your Son served men. You didn’t leave it up to me of what it looks like to be a servant leader and man. My idea was to be served as a man. Your idea was for me to serve others. Lord, grant me opportunities to unveil this sanctified service that’s rare. I will be careful to give You all the praise and glory. In the matchless name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!

Amen! Thank you brother Glenny for this encouraging devotional!!!
Amen ! Brother Glenny very uplifting Devotional!!
Heavenly Father, it is in Your Son's name, and by His blessed work, that I confess to falling short. Intentions are a start, but the 'doing' done reveals the heart.
Please forgive me for any drifting of thought, will and action Lord. I pray this, as with all asking, in Jesus' name.
Amen, Bro. Glenny, that a good template!
