THIS I KNOW . . . Maintaining Christian Values is Important
Today is our last day of Devotionals written by our GBFC Youth. Praise God for all of our writers and may the Word of God and their devotional continue to bless you!

SCRIPTURE: "How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought you; oh, let me not wander from Your commandments.” Psalm 119:9-10
Living a godly life can be difficult at times. There are always distractions that Satan and the world throw at us to lead us away from God. We also battle our own desires. I think the situation may be even more challenging as I head off to college almost four hours away from home. Even though I know I can always contact my parents for anything, I’m a little worried about whether I will continue to act upon the Christian values that have been instilled in me. I want to find and attend a local church that feels like home, pay my tithes if I have a job, and make spending time with God a priority. But, if I’m being honest, my heart is not always focused on the right things. Everyone says that college years are the best! I’m excited to be able to make my own decisions and I want to enjoy college life, but I also want to stay on a godly path. To do this, I know that I must diligently seek God, read His word, and follow His instructions. God has promised to always be near to those who do these things. I’m trusting in that promise.
PRAYER: Dear God, I want to honor You, but it can be a struggle at times, even now. I ask that You please help me to be a godly young man and follow the Christian values in which I’ve been raised, particularly when I’m away at college. Keep me focused on the path that You made for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Amen. Yes as you keep that mindset and keep the Lord as your guide. You will be fine. Praying for you.
Amen Bro. Gregory. We are praying for you to persevere in your walk with the Lord and at school. Our God is able to keep those who are His. Thank you for your devotional.
Amen Bro Gregory.. Christian values reflect the character of Jesus. Know how what values are. And how we can apply them to our everyday life..
Amen bro Gregory! ðŸ™ðŸ½ Thanks you for this devotional.
Hi brother. We share milestones. The year Debora and I joined Genesis, your mom was carrying you . the third trimester. We've grown up together in GBFC. Having you as a student in the primary church preteen group was special. I'd like to say you are approaching a facet of the world that's safe and sound but its neither. Now's the time to test the waters with Jesus. God bless and thanks for the devotional. Launch well.
Bro Gregory, thanks for your transparency. You already have they key in the scripture verse in your devotional. Ps 119: 9-10
Fall in love with the Word!!Hide it in your heart and it will guide and influence your walk.
