WHAT GOD HAS SHOWN ME: God’s Display of Faithfulness
June has featured Devotionals written by our GBFC Youth. Here is what God is doing in the lives of our youth. Be encouraged by the Word of God and their devotional that they are sharing today!
SCRIPTURE: “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (ESV)
How has God shown His faithfulness to you? Have you tried to be faithful but ended up falling short? Have you ever been in awe of how faithful God is to us? Our faithfulness as humans is finite but God’s faithfulness is infinite. When we sin or neglect our relationship with Him, He is still there. But why is God faithful? How can we experience His faithfulness?
It is only through a relationship with Him that we can experience His faithfulness. In the scripture above, God preserves the saints and sanctifies us until the coming of Jesus’ return. Isn’t it refreshing that we do not have to rely on our faithfulness? But to rely on God to keep us sanctified and preserved. When we examine our lives, we can see the evidence of God’s faithfulness. He has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light, saved us from sin through the sacrifice of His Son, and continues to guide us on the path of righteousness. God’s faithfulness is evident in every step of our spiritual journey. In times of doubt and struggle, we may question our worthiness or our ability to persevere. However, we must remember that our faithfulness and salvation do not depend on our strength or merit but on the faithfulness of God. He who calls us is faithful and will surely fulfill His promises. Moreover, God’s faithfulness extends beyond our present circumstances. As the passage reminds us, He will keep us blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. This assurance brings great comfort, knowing that God will finish what He has started in us.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, I thank You for Your unchanging faithfulness. Thank You for always being there no matter the circumstance. You have shown Your faithfulness by calling me out of the darkness into the light. Help me to trust in Your faithfulness and to surrender myself fully to Your transformative work. Strengthen me in times of doubt and uncertainty, knowing that You will never leave me nor forsake me. May my life be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may I bring honor and glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Amen. God is good through His tender mercies as well as His loving chastisement. God is good in all ways and always. He is faithful, so speaks 'Calvary'. As some may consider Juneteenth may we appreciate God's hand of deliverance and His heart for the downtrodden. Blessings.
Amen Brother! If we are faithless God remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself..
Amen! Great is His faithfulness.
We can not be trusted to finish what God has started, but His faithfulness is enough for us to trust Him to finish! Keep growing in the Word and your relationship with God will carry you beyond your dreams!💛
Amen, amen !!!
