THIS I KNOW… HIS PURPOSE FOR ME
Throughout the month of June we will feature Devotionals written by our GBFC Youth. May your hearts be encouraged by what the Lord's Word is doing in the hearts of our young people.
SCRIPTURE: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13
What is a leader without someone to lead? Is the person still a leader? If so, who is he leading? These questions surrounded my mind deeply in the spring when I got injured. I felt pain, suffering, and being alone. In this I found His peace and His purpose for me. In other times in my life I relied on my purpose through leadership. But what happens when there is no one to lead or no one you want to lead? I think of the story of many Bible prophets, and how they worked out God's plans despite their insecurities.
PRAYER: Dear God, I pray for the leaders who feel as though they are not touching anyone or who feel lonely. I pray they will keep going and find purpose in You, oh God. I pray Heavenly Father that you bring them a diverse group of people from various backgrounds to encourage them to solve their problems. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
