A Brick in Your Stronghold!
SCRIPTURE: “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Are you resisting the knowledge of God? Is there an area that God is speaking to you continually and you’re resisting Him? You know what the Bible says, but you have not changed. That’s resisting. That’s how subtle a stronghold can be-you hear it and you don’t do anything with it and you continue. You keep putting brick after brick after brick in your fortress, in your stronghold. I suggest to you that that area is an area that has been occupied by demonic influence. Is there an area where you are resisting the authority of God’s Word? You hear the Bible, you know the verses and yet you continue to exalt your system of thinking, because you have convinced yourself that you have liberty. But you have no liberty to disobey God!
PRAYER: Most gracious heavenly Father we bow before You and confess that we have withheld ourselves from You; withheld our obedience of You; withheld our loyalty to You; withheld our trust in You! In doing so we have succumb to our flesh and entertained the thoughts of a demonic spirit. Oh that our minds were stayed on You! Oh that we would recognize the things that are unlike You and turn from them. Forgive us Lord! Thank You for equipping us with spiritual weapons of warfare so that we can tear down principalities and powers with the authority of Your Word and the Holy Spirit. Help us to see that we are more than conquerors through Your love, You give us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, and You are able to keep us in perfect peace when our minds are stayed on You! It is in Jesus' matchless name we pray, Amen!
