The Dilemma and The Deception.

Scripture: “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.”  2 Corinthians 6:14-16
How do you fellowship in the new life and sacrifice yourself in the old life? How does that take place? How do you surrender yourself from where you came from and yet, try to have fellowship where you are? That’s the dilemma and that’s the deception. The problem is that demons have in their agenda the idea of influencing unguarded believers to think like we used to.  Afterall if there is no new knowledge, we return to what we know. So what happens is that we try to build a doctrine from the old life and bring it into the new life and we call it ‘Liberty.’  I have liberty to go backwards. I have liberty to go back where I came from. The Gentile life represented a life of sacrificing to idols. A life of idol worshipping and not even recognizing it. You cannot have fellowship with the old life of demon worship!

Prayer: Praise You Jesus, for Your command is simple-take up your cross and Follow ME. Our new life in Christ dictates that we set our eyes upon You, the author and finisher of our faith, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Forgive us when we think we have arrived to a spiritual place of standing on our own spiritual merit and engaging in those things from which we were once delivered. How we deceive ourselves! Oh Jesus, may we take heed lest we fall. May we remember our frame, may we study to show ourselves approved, may we recognize the wiles of the devil, may we daily put to death the old man and his foolish thoughts and ways. May we take up our cross and follow You! In Jesus name, Amen.

Amen.

Such is the duty towards, and the preference, and the inclination, and the calling to be transformed, by the renewing of the mind... a reasonable daily endeavor for the child of God.

Grab 'the Book' and have a look, and then pray look again, for there within is our beginning- Grace, from start to end.

Thank You Jesus!
