The Backwards Walking Christian

For many of us the Gentile lifestyle is the life we came from. So how do you now sacrifice your life backwards to the things that you left?  The only way that happens is that we allow the infiltration of demon thinking and we justify backstepping to where we came from, and we justify it as 'liberty'. There are some things you say you have liberty to do, but they are things that came from your past, and yet those things have an equal or dominating place of influence in your present.  They represented the old Gentile sacrifices. They represented practices for the life you used to have. What has convinced you to incorporate the ‘was’ into the ‘now’? What spirit is it? You say, “Well, I came up with the idea.” I say that you took ownership of a thought!

Prayer: Father, it is in Your name that we come beseeching You to forgive us for when we bring carnality into our worship of and service to You. Lord Jesus, help us to remember our first love. Those first moments when we made our profession of faith, our intense fervor for Your Word, our passion for Your presence, and our exuberance and love for doing what was right. Remind us Lord and revive in our hearts that desire to walk forward and to be well pleasing to You. It is in Your name we pray, Amen!
