He is Still Serving
Scripture: “ by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.23 Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. 24 But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 26 For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.” Hebrews 7:22-27
Jesus served! In His life He served. In His death He served and now after His resurrection He is still serving. His heavenly ministry of intercession, of Him serving, is for our benefit. The Bible says that He is making intercession for us and the us in that text is those He has saved to the uttermost. Isn’t that powerful?
Prayer: Great and mighty King Jesus, You are forever the propitiation for our sin. We make this prayer personal, Jesus! Thank You for taking the punishment for my sins and not just mine, but the sins of the entire world. Your great love with which You loved me has never ceased since the day you knew me, redeemed me from sin, predestined me to adoption as sons, and made me accepted in the Beloved! For this King Jesus, I thank You!
