There is No One Greater

False teaching comes in all types, kinds, and forms,
It appears appealing, yet outside of the Lord’s norms;

As I consider what is ahead of me and the challenges I will face,
The enemy is ready to confuse and distort what God has in place;

However, the Lord doesn’t want His children mistaken or blinded by the truth,
Once falsehood arises, He gave us the Holy Spirit to direct us on what to do;

For those who love the Lord will seek the Lord for certain,
Yet, the enemy is clever and cunning, so we will need discernment;

The Holy Spirit leads us to the knowledge of truth and sound doctrine to be heard,
As John reminds us, greater is He who is in me than He who is in the world;

Now I am able to keep a proper perspective of the scope of my salvation ties,
Rebuking perversions of false teachers and discerning from Satan’s hosts and lies;

Although Jesus dealt with Satan and evil, our war will continue until the end of
time,
So, there will be unclean spirits and tailor-made schemes in moments that are
prime;

Pouncing on prey as a master deceiver and masquerader by force or fraud,
Carefully and methodically selected to attack through my weaknesses and flaws;

Let’s be clear, I am a prime target,
Evil wants to defeat, discourage, and dishearten;

However, I am more than a conqueror,
My hope resides in the power of my Comforter;

Clearly, my enemy is mighty,
But, the Lord I love and serve is almighty;

Greater is He who is in me than He who is in the world,
No matter the opposition, my Lord, I will continue to serve.

Prayer: It’s what’s inside of me as a believer that’s able to contend against the
evils of the world. Expose what’s not of You, Father. Direct me in the way I should
go, my Lord. No one is greater than You. I look to You in the name of Jesus.
