The Message of Salvation from God

Scripture: “Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:5-11

You must understand that when people are saved, it is not the messenger that saves them. Let’s not miss the fact that we don’t save people. If he is a great evangelist, it ought to mean that God’s power is working through him. If he is a great soul winner, he is not winning that soul, God is winning that soul. The real truth is that it is God who saves. Someone once asked me, “When you give the invitation and no body comes, do you feel like that was a failure?” My response is, “Nope, because I’m not saving anybody.” If no one comes it might be some people who said “No” and may think that they are saying “No” to me, but they are not saying “No” to me. Faith comes by hearing.  All I did was give them the Word that should produce faith, the Word about Christ. It is God who works. Some of us water, some of us sow, but it is God who brings the increase.

Prayer: Almighty God, it is an awesome privilege to be involved in Your great work of saving the souls of sinners.  Every time You allow me to be a part of this miracle, it causes my heart to swell with praise because it reminds me that You did the same for me one day.  Glory to Your great Name that You have chosen to love sinners and You will go even to the darkest places in life to bring them into Your kingdom.  Hallelujah, what a God You are to us.  In Jesus Name, amen.

Amen ! We're ALL called to share Christ's gospel. So, let's prayerfully recommit to crossing that 'pain barrier,' if we've dropped that witnessing baton.
