The Potter and His Vessels of Clay

Scripture: “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:1-8
It must never be overlooked that God has a way of working with all kinds of people, but He never compromises what He is after. It makes no difference who you are. He comes and intervenes and introduces Him self in our lives and He never changes what He is after. It makes no difference who you are. The ultimate goal of God is to bring all of us from where ever we are to bring us into alignment to what He expects. That is our testimony. If you look at our past, all of us came from different walks, different spheres, different stratums of sin. The past walk was diverse and varied.  That’s the miracle of it all- none of us came to Him, He came to us! No one really comes or seeks after God. If you know Him it is because He found you and came into your life and bought you into a level of repentance and expectation that brings you into a union with Him through faith.

Prayer: Almighty God, where would we be, were it not for Your grace that reached into our lives, snatched us out of the slave market of sin, revealed our true nature to us, washed us with the cleansing blood of Your Son, and now are conforming us into the image of Jesus? Where would be?  We can only imagine the depth of the riches both of Your wisdom and knowledge! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! Nevertheless, we praise You for your wonderful works towards and your great love for the children of men.
