Preach, Preacher!

Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 2:5 "so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power."
1 Peter 4:11 "If anyone speaks, let him speak as the [a]oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
1 Peter 4:11 "If anyone speaks, let him speak as the [a]oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
Pastor, Bishop, Apostle, Reverend, Preacher,
Minister, Priest, Cardinal, Clergyman, Leader;
I need an encouraging Word from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself,
Pastors are called to speak of His oracles, but still, he requires help;
It’s not the speaker’s charisma, wordplay, or oratory skills that make the difference,
It’s God’s message I trust, not the messenger, a presentation that’s spirit driven;
I can’t afford to rest or depend on the power of human gifts or abilities,
On the messenger’s best day of speaking, it’s not enough to witness legitimately.
Preach Preacher!
So, my faith does not rest on the wisdom of men, but in the power of God,
Exclusively solidifying the true witness that sets salvation apart;
The Holy Spirit is the total ingredient that breaks through the soul,
Faith comes from Christ, not from skillful speech, philosophies, or human ideas shown;
Often, I am empty after pumped-up praise rallied around emotions,
After the service is over, I desire a message with a biblical devotion;
I am craving biblical precepts, content, and relative information,
Speak a convicting Word beyond a feel-good sermon with sensation.
Preach Preacher!
Even when a perfect sermon is preached, I question the purpose,
Without the focal point being Jesus, your words are a disservice;
When an event, funeral, or crowd is gathered,
Directing people to Christ is what really matters.
So, I am just asking Preachers to Preach!
Focus on Jesus Christ to inspire those who needs to be reached,
After a spirit led sermon, lives are saved, communion, and giving glory to God;
Then we can touch our neighbor, create an emotional uproar, and watch football,
Preach Preacher!
Prayer: Lord, I want hear from You! I pray that You bless pastors all over the world. Convict and redirect them to preach of the oracles of God. Don’t let the antics, theatrics, and glory snatchers get the glory. Bring them to their knees to not be ashamed of the gospel and Your Word line by line. More of YOU and less of them. Thank You for our pastor, Wayne Cockrell, who is committed to focusing on Jesus. He is not pursuing popularity. He is pursuing to please You. Despite the attacks! Despite making people uncomfortable! Pastor Cockrell has shown us that he has a burning desire to say what the Lord says straight from the Bible. Reward Him Father like only You can. Genesis Bible Fellowship is blessed! I lift up this prayer to You Father. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
