The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Scripture: "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

The Christmas tree in my house represents new life
The star that shines at the top symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ

Christ’s purpose was to sacrifice His life for the sins of men
That’s the heart and soul of Christmas, and how the spirit of giving begins

The beauty of Christmas is much bigger than wrapped presents
It’s acknowledging our living Savior by celebrating His presence

Who can truly enjoy Christmas until we dismiss the lies and myths
Only Believers can say, Father, I’ve received Your Christmas Gift

There’s no match for any gift given that’s on my Lord’s behalf
December 25 th is a blessed reminder of how much I already have

It’s Christmas every time I allow the Lord to love others through me
It’s a gesture with a value beyond shopping, Santa Claus, Xmas, and trees

The world can not limit the value and depths of a true Christmas
Following the star to share the Good News is a 12-month intention

Therefore, if we believe Jesus is the reason for the season
Allow His light to shine in our hearts and for our aim to be pleasing.

Prayer: Lord, I celebrate You 365 days of the year. Christmas reminds me of the everlasting gift I have in You. And this gift I received is meant for others to see through me. You are worthy to be praised. You are more than just a season or holiday. Be the focus of all I celebrate, Lord. Guide me as I spread the Good News daily. Finally, I pray that You reign and become the star of all holidays and seasons. In the matchless name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!
