The Living and Powerful Word

Weekends in the month of December will be devoted to scripture and prayer! Weekly devotions will resume Mondays through Fridays in December. Join us in  Word and Prayer!
Scripture: For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:12-13
Prayer: Father, thank You for the Word. It is living. It works deep down in us. Nothing can hide from it. Our seed motivations are exposed. The secrets of our heart that only You and we know about are challenged and we thank You for meeting us there.  We thank You for checking us in the place where it is kept between you and I. For only You know what needed to be corrected all the way down in my being and You spoke to it and we thank You for that! As our hearts are opened to You, we find occasion, for whatever reason, to repent; to repent on the inside and confess our sin that has been exposed on the inside. We desire to turn from our iniquity before it is seen or before it has become behavior and we thank You for that kind of mercy. We thank You for that kind of longsuffering, that kind of love. That grace, You didn’t have to be concerned, You didn’t have to speak to that thing, but You did and we thank You for it. We give You praise Lord and give You thanks In Jesus Name, Amen.
