I Am Gifted! Pt4

Scripture: And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; Ephesians 4:12-13
It was always in the mind of God to bestow Spiritual Gifts to His children so that every need would be met within the Body of Christ. Every member has a part in the ministry, and one must never see himself as insignificant.  If we liken the Body of Christ to a tree with its roots, stem, branches, and leaves, we see that every part of the tree performs its function perfectly to the benefit of the entire tree. Are the individual parts of the tree insignificant? Absolutely not!  Now ask yourself, “What is my gift and how am I using it to the benefit of the Body of Christ?” This is Day four of introducing Spiritual Gifts. These brief descriptions and examples serve to reinforce what you have already been taught, therefore, be encouraged!

GIFT OF LEADERSHIP: Romans 12:8 (he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.) - to stand before the people in such a way as to attend to the direction of the body with such care and diligence so as to motivate others to get involved in the accomplishment of these goals

GIFT OF MERCY: Romans 12:8 (he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.) - to be sensitive toward those who are suffering, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally, so as to feel genuine sympathy with their misery, speaking words of compassion but moreso caring for them with deeds of love to help alleviate their distress (EXAMPLE: Benevolence / Caring, People Helping Ministry, Visitation Ministry)

GIFT OF PROPHECY: Romans 12:6 ( Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;); 1 Corinthians 12:10 ( Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;) ; Ephesians 4:11 (And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,) - to speak forth the message of God to His people (Greek Word: prophetes - the forth-telling of the will of God; 'pro'=forth; 'phemi'=to speak) (EXAMPLE: Speaking)

Prayer: Jesus, look at the Spiritual Gifts You have created and equipped the Body of Christ to perform.  When I see these gifts, I praise You for You have not left me in this world without help to perform them. You have provided the Comforter, the Helper, the Teacher which is the Holy Ghost (Spirit).  As You reveal my Spiritual Gift/s to me, Jesus, help me to remember that Your Word is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness so that I can be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work! Yes, every good work! Thank You, Jesus! Amen!
