I Am Gifted! Pt3

Scripture: 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.  1 Corinthians 12:14-18
Genesis Bible Fellowship Church is one body with many parts. Each one of us have been uniquely gifted and fitted within this Body of Christ to benefit all of its members. Much like our physical bodies, it is humbling to think of how special and how necessary you are to the Spiritual Body of Christ. This is day three of introducing Spiritual Gifts. May these brief descriptions and examples give you greater understanding.

GIFT OF HEALINGS: 1 Corinthians 12:9 (to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by [f]the same Spirit,) 1 Corinthians 12:28 (And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. ) 1 Corinthians 12:30 ( Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? ) - to be used as a means through which God makes people whole either physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually (EXAMPLE: Counseling, Letting Go of the Past, Prayer)

GIFT OF HELPS: 1 Corinthians 12:28 (And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.)  - to render support or assistance to others in the body so as to free them up for ministry (EXAMPLE: Clerical, Communications, Service-Oriented, Staff Support)

GIFT OF HOSPITALITY: 1 Peter. 4:9 (Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.), 1 Peter 4: 10 (As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.) - to warmly welcome people, even strangers, into one's home or church as a means of serving those in need of food or lodging (Greek Word: philoxenos - love of strangers; 'philos'=love; 'xenos'=stranger) (EXAMPLE: greeter, serving )

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us to see ourselves as You see us. You said that we were predestined, foreordained, called before the foundation of the world. Since you have known us, called us by name, and saved us, we believe that You have also equipped us with Spiritual gifts. Jesus, please help us to know what our individual gift/s are and please help us to serve others in the Body of Christ. You are our example, for You did not come to be served, but to serve. We bless your name! Thank You, Jesus and Amen!
