Many Mini MARATHONS

SCRIPTURE:  “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)

It’s a relatable fact that life can at times feel like a marathon. For many, it may even seem  to consist of a whole bunch of mini marathons!  One must survive childhood and all of its mixed bag of experiences-- predictable and otherwise—ALL of its stages, some pleasant and others painful.  Just when it seems that those “wonder years” will go on forever, one enters pre-adolescence and then full-blown adolescence—multiple stages filled with uncertainties and insecurities, adjustments and RE-adjustments!  These are the youthful years, wherein one comes to discover the intrinsic unfairness of life, its numerous trials and adversities, followed by the twenties, thirties, and so on!  Godly wisdom is desperately needed to minimize regrets and circumvent the costly consequences incurred by those who refuse  godly counsel.  “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding.” (Prov. 4:7)

If one is fortunate, at life’s genesis they have parents—ideally two—a father and a mother, by God’s definition, and they both have a personal relationship with God the Father through a genuine faith and trust in God the Son—Jesus Christ.  While that is the ideal situation, many of us, did not start out in such an ideal setting.  Nevertheless, the GREAT news is that no matter what your home beginnings were—whether you had one, or two, or were a ward of the state, the God of the Bible says, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)

PRAYER:  Heavenly Father, we praise You for Your sovereign ability and willingness to save anybody, no matter their beginnings.  All that You require is that a soul ADMIT his spiritual need; BELIEVE on Your Son’s atoning work upon Calvary’s cross for their personal salvation, and then CONFESS that Jesus IS THE way, THE truth, and THE life.  Thank You, Abba, for making saving faith so plain and accessible.  AMEN!
