Wait a Minute

Scripture: Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
I know, I know, You told me to wait
It just seems easier to control my own fate
I prayed for the hour, day, and date
I’m on time, but the Lord is always late
Obviously, I am in disarray
Yet, I was promised that You would make a way
So, I took matters into my own hands
Not to expect upcoming trials and demands
During the process of obtaining a blessing
There is always a test, insight, or lesson
Do you value the resources more than the Source?
Who do you rely on daily throughout the course?
Are you even able to handle the things you are considering?
There is divine preparation for blessings He may administer
Waiting requires and trains us to lookup
Surrendering unto His way, so our faith can grow up
So, as I wait on healing, breakthroughs, finances, or marriage
Or Any trial that presents itself, be of good courage
The Lord is the Author and Finisher of things that come my way
After all, His truth tells me, I was never in control in the first place
So, when my heart is faint, weary, or weak from the start
While I wait, it’s the Lord who will free and strengthen my heart
Prayer: This small word called WAIT is a big task. We simply must experience trials to develop this fruit. The beauty of the process is that we get to see You at work. Making us new! Building our faith! Developing our trust! And creating a testimony for others to see. So, take Your time, Lord. We know we are in good hands. Forgive us when we worry. Forgive us for not trusting. We honor You, Lord! I am praying this prayer in the name of Jesus.
