O Me of Little Faith
Scripture: Matthew 8:26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm
O me of little faith
I continue to question the Lord’s power by the day
Each time a storm arises, I act surprised
He already told us that trouble will exist in our lives
Yet, I stumble with doubt, worry, anxiety, and fear
I drift and wander away, rather than drawing near
The Lord doesn’t need a lot to do a lot
David was able to address Goliath with just one rock
As time goes on, tests are steadily before me
I’ve turned away from His Word that readily assures me
So, I frequently fail or fall by hitting rock bottom
No options available, yet I see the Rock at the bottom
So, I seek the Lord for restoration to sustain the duration
Although, I’m weak and empty, I desire a transformation
The Lord doesn’t need a lot to do a lot
David was able to address Goliath with just one rock
Even though my eyes see trials, pain, and suffering
The faith of a mustard seed is required for His covering
Even though it appears the valleys have no way out
I’m encouraged because my Lord is there throughout
And even though, my walk hasn’t been spiritually efficient
His mercy is new daily, and His grace is totally sufficient
The Lord doesn’t need a lot to do a lot
David was able to address Goliath with just one rock
Prayer: Time and time again, my faith is questioned. I’ve allowed my trials to continue to get the best of me. All you ask of me is to have faith since the beginning. Forgive me Father! How can I doubt or fear what confronts me when You have proven Yourself as worthy? Have mercy on me
Lord! You are a better manager of me than myself. I praise You! I thank You! I honor You! In the name of Jesus, Amen!
