A New Creation
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
I am a work in progress
Made new through a divine process
Because, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior
I’m identified and sanctified as a new creation
The Lord chose to take me as I was
A filthy sinner who needed to be cleansed and washed
Immediately, sins from the beginning were forgiven
Old things have passed away to pursue righteous living
Mysteriously, I am made new spiritually in a body that’s old
As I am in progress, the flesh may surface, tempt, or unfold
Causing discouragement when fallen short and failures accrue
However, the Lord makes my bad, His good, to create what is new
So, His handprint is all over my journey and story
Witnesses see my favor, but certainly the Lord gets the glory
Now, His wondrous ways are seen through the impossible
Revealing to the world, through Christ, anything’s possible
Testifying, the Lord can transform a lost soul to one that’s renewed
Persuading witnesses to ask, what must they do to be a creation that’s new
Prayer: Wow Lord! Before I knew You personally, I didn’t understand how a righteous God could make me new. All I saw was my wretched ways. Wondering how I can fit or be worthy of Your Kingdom. But, You made a promise to cleanse me of my old ways to make me acceptable in Your sight. Lord, I get it! Once again, You are able to do anything You want. This transformation has been seen by witnesses to bring others to the place of becoming new. Today, I am still being made new. It’s because of Your grace and mercy I am able grow. It’s because of your patience and faithfulness, I can fall and get back up. Glory to God! You are worthy to be praised. In the name of Jesus, amen.
