Jesus, Our Divine Ark (Part II)

Scripture John 12:35b, 36 (NKJV) - …he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.  While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.

What better way to confirm for oneself the eternal truths of the Bible than to observe their unfolding in human history over the weeks, months, and years—just as the Spirit says they would. Can you imagine the crowds that perhaps gathered daily around the ark as Noah worked on it for approximately 120 years?!  Although no one had ever seen rain before the flood, every imaginable form of wickedness was likely represented amongst humankind in Noah’s day.   It is, after all, what caused God to be “...sorry that He had made man on the earth,..” as the Spirit declares in Genesis 6:6. Despite all of the grievous similarities between those ancient times and ours, this is one “story” we shouldn’t mind learning the end of ahead of time! “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.” (Matt. 24:38)

We who by His grace trust in Christ WIN!  No “spoiler” alert is needed because He has TOLD us of what is happening beforehand!   This should increase our faith in Him, and sharpen, I believe, the clarity with which we see ourselves, our dire need of yielding to His Lordship, and the events swirling around us.  We are called to banish all fear; intensify our prayer focus, and remain faithful in service, because our Savior God is closer now to returning than ever before!  Be encouraged, saints!

If one is hoping in purely man-made “solutions,” such as those proffered by more laws, the “right politicians” being voted into office, or the typically selected, but historically FAILED solution of throwing more money at the problems, one will remain stuck on the age-old societal merry-go-round called “We-have-no-lasting-solutions-for-these-God-sized-problems!”  Fear and desperation are the only two historically-predictable fallbacks for the Christ-rejecting masses!

Prayer:  Bless Your holy name, Father, for opening our eyes to see the events of history, even today, through the revelation of Your prophetic Word, the Holy Bible.  Thank You, Father, for the sweet assurance that for the Christ-follower, our citizenship is in heaven!  AMEN!
