The Value of Tears
Scripture: Isaiah 38:5 - Go and tell Hezekiah, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.
Dear Lord, I thank you for giving me tears
They help so much to allay my fears
Tears can come in the middle of the night
And cause all my fears to be put to flight
For the tears, I do thank you!
Lord, thank you for giving me the power to see
That more than a conqueror I can be
So when I’m feeling quite miserable
It’s then that you make me more capable
For the tears, I am humble!
Lord, I shed tears about my family
And all others that mean so much to me
My tears really do release and restore
They give me strength to endure even more
I’m so grateful for my tears!
Tears give me faith and enable me to cope
With whatever seeks to destroy my hope!
For all the obstacles that I face
Since your true love, I can never replace
Indeed, I give thanks to my tears!
Tears are signs of inner joy that I know
For all the mercy and grace that you show
Plus, all miracles for me you perform
And all times of peace that follow my storms
It’s an honor to shed tears!
Tears give the inner power to resist
Negative forces that try to persist
Then, my soul rejoices in heavenly song
And triumphs over thoughts that are wrong
That’s why I’m blessed to have tears!
Prayer: If the tears never came, where would we be Father. You are always there to wipe them. If I never went through trials, I would never know You are a healer, keeper, and redeemer. For every tear, there is Your grace. I love You Lord! In the matchless name of Jesus, Amen.
