Who are we?

Scripture:  Deuteronomy 14:2 - For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

Identity can be complex.  There are so many identities to take on today; I see men who want to be women and vice versa; I see children who want to be adults and vice versa.  What is it when we who name the Name of Christ can’t seem to capture who we are to be?  What happens -- what causes us to go away from who God made us to be?  Yes, some would blame the enemy or the world with all its options and choices that we are shown.  But we know Christ lived, died and rose. He sits at the right hand of the Father now ever making intercession for those who love Him.  He has a plan for us; He has settled our identity; He desires we grab and embrace all He wants us to be in Him.  We are no longer dead and an offensive to His holiness; but we have been redeemed and set apart for His purposes; we are a peculiar people; We have been bought with the price of His most precious blood; we are of a royal priesthood; we are His righteous ones.  For by His grace are we saved for His good pleasure; We have become His children and we cry to our Abba Father. Though unworthy, we are forgiven; we are His workmanship in Christ Jesus. We are His love letters to this world. We are His yielded witnesses.  We are His servants willing always to do what He loves.  No more are we tossed to and fro like the wind; no, we know who we are and in what direction to take. We don’t have to have an excuse to embrace a sister or a brother. for we are lovers of the Body of Christ.  We are His submitted workers committed to do all He has set our hands to do; our aim our goal in this life is to forever bring the LORD glory, honor, and make His Power and Dominion known throughout this lost world.  We are the ones who have access to the throne of Grace. God has quickened us!  He has made us alive to Himself - so we know who we are and to whom we belong!!!!…We belong to Jesus!!   For He is our Savior, our Lord, the Almighty and the Most-High and forgiving God!!

Prayer:  Thank You, Oh God that we can rest in Who You say we are!!  No longer are we defined by our past sins, faults and pitfalls.  No, we believe Your report, and Your report says we are Yours, we are Your redeemed; We are saved by Your Redeeming blood! We are loved with Your everlasting love; so we say, Hallelujah!  In Jesus’ Name-Amen!
