Lovin You

Scripture: Isaiah 54:10 - Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Once upon a time, I only knew the love that failed
The love that disappoints and keeps me waiting to exhale

I’ve surrendered my feelings and emotions long enough
I’ve surrendered my heart and soul through ill-advised trust

Who can love me despite me, unconditionally?
Who can forgive my iniquities without condemning me?

Who is willing to chase me through chastening me?
Who is willing to die for me, while saving me?

Who thinks I’m beautiful, even when I’m ugly?
Even when I fail, still willing to love me

This love can’t be shaken, this love won’t forsake me
Once I choose this love, His faithfulness can’t escape me

The Lord’s covenant of peace cannot be removed
His love and compassion are unfailing and proven

Therefore, I’m grateful for this love I didn’t deserve at all
It’s available in all seasons, winter, summer, spring, and fall

Prayer:  Lord, You are worthy to be praise. I’m speechless of this covenant You’ve provided. This love allows me to live freely, confidently, and assertively. I am loved by the one and only God. Lord, position and enable me to share this love with the world. I will be careful to give You all the honor and glory. In the name of Your Son, Amen!
