Elohim – The Strong Creator God
Scripture: Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Psalms 139:14 – I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Elohim “Strong One” has to do with God’s sovereignty and His authority – reflecting the greatness of His power. He is the creator God! God created the world from nothing (Genesis 1). I’m so amazed by His creation – some of which are day/night, the sun, moon, and stars, the vastness of the oceans, lakes, and rivers, the plants, trees, birds, fish, whales, sharks, dophins, and thousands of animals – many of which we are still not familiar with. We, on the other hand, have to have raw materials to make/develop things. Just reflecting on God’s creation makes me praise/worship my Lord/Savior Jesus Christ!
Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him!
Jesus blessed Savior, He’s worthy to be praised!
From the rising of the sun, until the going down of the same.
He’s worthy, Jesus is worthy. He’s worthy to be praised!
Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him!
Jesus blessed Savior, He’s worthy to be praised!
Elohim not only created all things, but He knows all things. He is omniscient. Psalms 147:5 says Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. Hebrews 4:13 says And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. God has all power. He is omnipotent. Revelation 19:6 says And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Isaiah 43:13 says Indeed before the day was, I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?
No matter what you are facing – whether you are discouraged or grieving, or you don’t know what to do in different situations, or when you are waiting on the Lord to answer your prayers, remember, Elohim (the Strong Creator God) has made something out of nothing. Therefore, He can surely change your situation, or change you in the midst of what you are going through. Trust Him! Depend on Him! Rely on Him! Listen to Him through His word, the Bible! Seek His face daily. Keep praying to Him! He wants us to listen to Him, and He longs to speak to us. Sometimes we have to throw away our blueprint or plans that we have made for ourselves. He has a purpose/path for us, and we must learn to follow Him – and not lean unto our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If not, we will continue to be frustrated when things don’t go the way we want them to go.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father: Thank You – Elohim (the Creator God)! Please create in me a clean heart (Psalms 51:10). Help me to walk in the path that You have for my life. I praise and worship You! All this I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
