He Still Opens Eyes

Scripture: Colossians 2:8 (NLT) -  Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.

“Anything great in this world is birthed out of pain.”  So goes one of many life lessons compellingly demonstrated in one of my favorite movies, “The Case for Christ.”  In that true story depicting journalist Lee Strobel’s departure from atheism to a saving faith in Jesus Christ, we are impactfully shown that many who reject faith in Christ miss the truth about who He is because they just don’t want to see it!  Truthfully, however, they are in desperate need of an introduction by you and I to the scriptural testimony of Christ’s birth, sinless life, and atoning death for all who will receive the gift of salvation and exalt Him as Lord!

In faithfulness to the One who came to this sin-sick world to save whosoever would believe, continue to pray for those in your life who are lost.  Most importantly, keep loving them and by your  own lifestyle maintain a solid witness for Him who is the object of our blessed hope—that hope which will never disappoint.  (Titus 2:11-14)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for opening up our eyes to see the truth as it is in Jesus  and making us alive in Christ when we had been dead in our trespasses and sins.  My Jesus did pay it all, and all to Him I owe!  My sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow!”
