See God!

Scripture: Psalm 25:4 – Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.
Psalm 86:11 – Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your Name.
Let’s try to shed light on God and His ways; for Isaiah declares, His ways are above our ways. Have you ever thought about it? To most, the statement, “only the strong will survive”, make sense. Hey, we all know that this life can give some major punches, so it would make sense to be strong. Well, the Lord says differently, Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:10b, when I am weak, then and only then am I strong. Most would say that we should show up in life and be the proud man or the woman. God teaches us in Luke 9:23, we should die daily. This flesh has no power. Our dependence should always be upon the Lord. In Psalms 73 the psalmist said, that he became envious of the wicked, that they could be far from God and prosper. The Lord had to run to the psalmist’s rescue, for he was at a place where God could blow his mind. The psalmist was eventually brought to clarity that those who are enemies of God are nothing and will be consumed. Often, I marvel at God’s ways. He forces us to live above what we are going through, so we can see Him in all of His glory -- how He is bigger than what we can even imagine or dream. He is pass this world; He is seated in the heavenlies; He rules the universe.
To see Him in His greatness, we must see man and what he thinks as irrelevant, inferior and much less. What is popular among men is unpopular with God. The Lord holds dearly the poor and the weak; He runs to them and longs to be gracious to them. Those who understand they have a need or are lacking are able to receive graciously. So, He can give freely; for in I Peter 5:5, Peter declares God gives grace to the humble, but He resists the proud. Grace is a term we attempt to define as unmerited favor. Only God can identify the kind of favor (all of it is unmerited) we stand in need of; therefore, He can only be the one who satisfies or fulfils that grace. Unlike man, God says we should die daily. He wants us weak, poor (in spirit), and humble. He wants us to know that we need Him to do anything. We must depend, desire and feed off His Word; we must pray always, and always be in awe at Him. Wow! Look at God!
Prayer: Lord, we thank You for giving us a glimpse of You and causing us to gain some perspective of where we are to be in You. Help us to know how much we lack so that You will run to us and give us all we need to please You. We exalt You in all the earth. For we know we should desire You, Your provision and Your plan. We are grateful to You always, Lord… In Jesus’ Name-Amen!
