God’s Word is Settled

Scripture: (Psalm 119:89- CBS)  “Lord, Your Word is forever; it is firmly fixed in Heaven. “

The Bible is a book of history and facts that in itself proves that there is a God who created all things. Most importantly, the Bible is the Word of God. The Holy Bible contains the mind of God and His will for our lives (James 1:18). The Word of God refers to the God breathed scripture and also to the person of the Lord Jesus Christ -the incarnated Word of the Father. It is a unique book, that makes unique claims. It is a fact, that there are many who do not embrace or accept its claims. Sadly, many have never read or owned a Bible.

Blessed are they who trust and live their lives according to God’s remarkable Word. There are no better instructions for our life than those found in God’s Word, the Bible. Sinners of all ethnicities have ignored the Bible from generation to generation. Scientists, Agnostics laughs at and scorn its passages of scripture. They have even tried to do away with it; Yet it still stands. The Word of God  is steadfast and secure, nevertheless, God’s Word has been under attack ever since Satan asked Eve-“indeed has God said …?  (Gen. 3:1)

The Word of God is forever, it is eternal and can never be abolished. “Lord, Your Word is everlasting. It will never change. It remains unchanged and is spiritually relevant to all people in every culture throughout history.

The Word of the Lord endures forever (I Pet. 1:25), (Isaiah 40:8). It will stand forever. The Prophet Isaiah used withered grass and faded flowers to illustrate  and draw a comparison with the permanence and stability of God’s eternal Word. Matthew wrote: “”Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away” (Matt. 24:35). God’s Word  has withstood the test of time, and it will stand FOREVER.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father I am so grateful for Your infallible Holy Word. For, down through the years, Your Word has been found to be complete, dependable and trustworthy in ministry.  For the Psalmist says that Your Word has given him life. Your Word has been a source of knowledge to spiritually guide, teach and instruct me in the way. In Jesus, Amen.
