A Change is Coming
Scripture: Romans 8:26 says “Likewise the Spirit also helps our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Our lives are lived in seasons and restlessness is a by-product of the season of change. When the Lord begins to expand your border, He will stir up your nest to move you out of your comfort zone. I went through a faith-doubt crisis when I made the decision to change my church membership and became a founding member of a new church, Genesis Bible Fellowship Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Little did I know that this move would catapult me into the next level of women’s ministry. Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation.
Romans 8:26 says “Likewise the Spirit also helps our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Even in our pain, suffering and restlessness, we must yield to the Holy Spirit. As we seek Him, He will control our thinking, thereby controlling our emotions. Sometimes our emotions make us see suffering as a personal attack from God. We think He doesn’t care about who we are. We can even have a deep sense of loneliness and isolation as we are going through a transition, but yet we must remember that He said He would never leave or forsake us.
Prayer: Thank You Lord for the comfort and assurance of Your Word. Your promises are steadfast and sure no matter how I feel. I am so glad that the Father hears Your groanings that are not able to be uttered by me because they express my true heart. How awesome is Your love for me!!
