The Answered Prayer

Scripture:  John 14:12-14 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Why worry about matters that the Lord said don’t worry about
His command was, “be anxious for nothing,” and pray without doubts

Prayer is a two-way conversation between my Father and I
I can ask anything in His name, only if He’s the reason why

In fact, when my request is made, it’s lovingly done
As long as the Father is glorified, through His only begotten Son

Only He knows my heart along with my future and fate
My prayers are heard and answered whether yes, no, or wait

Yet, at times, my concerns develop into worries
Mainly because my desires are becoming the priority

The Lord desires prayers that never cease
My concerns must decrease, while His concerns increase

Even matters that are challenging and demanding
He provides a peace that surpasses all understanding

Therefore, I’m prepared for answered prayers overtime
My faith stands on His promise to guard my heart and mine


Prayer:  Thank You for prayer! I can reach You anytime and anywhere. More importantly, You answer my prayers. I can rest that all is done for Your purpose and reason. Meanwhile, I will continue to delight in You. My adjustments will be made by Your answers and truth. Continue to be patient with me Lord. I’m lifting these prayers to You in the name of Jesus. Amen!
