We Miss Our Church Building
Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
(Genesis Bible Fellowship Church)
NOW, LET’S HAVE CHURCH!
Genesis Bible Fellowship Church, we miss you
Our place of praise, worship, fellowship, and refuge
First thing in the morning Brother Bobby opens the church doors
Ministries are preparing for service as traffic builds in the foyer
Greeters are at the door passing out programs
The musicians are tuning up instruments to play our favorite jams
Ushers assume to position with their uniformed suits
Ed Cauthorne corrects and directs people to the available pews
The choir begins with a solo, chorus, or hymn
Dana sang, Rickey ministers, while Nate plays the organ
The sanctuary starts to fill with family, members, and visitors
We see the Cheeks, the Bucks, the Millers, the Tuckers, and Fords
Robert Williams starts service with a powerful prayer
Deacon Cliff tells a joke, then pray for the primary church with care
Minister Carpenter officiates the church service with great enthusiasm
The choir is led by Micah, then praise and worship eagerly happens
After that, ushers come forward as the church stand and rise
This is the opportunity we give in love through offerings and tithes
We pray that you are blessed by the service this far
As Brother Mike Whye greets and acknowledge our visitors
Now, we can greet our Genesis family in fellowship
Excited because of our special bond through relationship
We continue with service as Brother Mason clear the Foyer area
Pastor Wayne Cockrell, sharp as a tack, enters the sanctuary
He prays, opens the Bible, then preach and teach of the oracles of God
He encourages and corrects us, with a loving Word that’s pleasant, yet hard
In the front, Sister Lee, Debbie, and Sandy are cheering with grateful praises
In the back, Sister Yvonne and Deborah Schools are dancing with hands raised
Now, it’s that moment during service with great anticipation
Believers praying for unbelievers to accept the Lord’s invitation
Next, Minister Arnell leads with a devotion and corporate hymn
Minister Mosley conducts communion in remembrance of Him
Sister Chery Torain sing songs of melody to encourage our issues and matters
Deacon Hall jokes with saints, while passing out communion juice and crackers
In closure of service
Sister Michele presents church activities, cards, and announcements
Sister Laidlow has an announcement:
Sister Rosa will be selling Genesis CD’s, tapes, shirts, and hats after service
Dr. Kelly has an announcement:
I want to encourage the saints to wear mask and remain 6 feet
Sister Mina has an announcement:
We are petitioning for volunteers for VBS next year
Sister Marsha has an announcement:
The G.O. Ministry will be going to Pimlico Track, The Harbor, and Maryland’s Fair on Saturday
Sister Novella has an announcement:
Please sign the list of foods you will be bringing to the upcoming church picnic
Now, Sister Paula has special video
Finally, Pastor Cockrell asks the church to rise for the benediction
He reminds us not to forget the one another mindset mission
As well lift our hands,
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
Prayer: Lord, we understand the challenges we are faced with in this world. However, we (The Church) are called to continue with the responsibility to witness and minister. Just because our plans are dismantled, doesn’t mean Your plans change. We (The church) must move forward with even more urgency to share the gospel. If it’s Your will for us to return to the church building, we pray that our church ministries will operate better than before and pleasing to Your eyes. Father, give us what we need to sustain the times. And we will be careful to give You all the glory, in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Thanks Bro. Glenny for the precious memories. How I miss our church family and the worship experience. However, the Lord works our future for returning to corporate worship, He continues to demonstrate His faithfulness to us and worthy of my worship wherever I am.
Amen brother!!!
Yes, Brother- This too shall come to pass. Meanwhile, trust and obey.
Amen!!!
Amen, Bro. Glenny! In His time; in His time!
