My God, That is Who You Are

Scripture:  Isaiah 43:16 – 19 -  Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters, 17 Who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power
(They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick): 18 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

There is a song being played on the radio now that goes, You are my waymaker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness my God that is who You are.. Pastor Tony Evans says that he was talking about the exodus from Babylon since it would restore the Jews to their homeland from which they had been expelled. Thinking back to when Egypt, because of Pharaoh, lost the power battle with God, they had to let the people go. But then he decided to send soldiers out to destroy the Jews. However, when they caught up to the Jews, the Jews had backed themselves into a position where the Red Sea was behind them. It didn't stop Moses and them, because God gave Moses the power in his staff to split the sea so they could walk through it on dry land. Yes he made a way.

When my parents passed away, my brother and I were young. I was 16, my brother was about 14. We had very little family in NY. So my brother and I had to learn how to live, for we were the only ones living in NY. Everyone else lived in Maryland which was my father's home. So we had to look out for one another. In doing that I had to think back to what my parents taught us about prayer. When my brother and I were hungry, the Lord provided that sandwich from Blimpees or sliders from white Castles, even a home cooked meal every now and then at a friend's house from time to time. He even provided a place to lay my head. My point is He has always made a way for us -- through prayer, really just talking to God. I never really learned how to pray correctly through Jesus until I came to Genesis. I don't know your story, but I do know that we all have one. I know He has made a way for you to in some point in your life. That is why I call Him my Way Maker/my Miracle Worker!  Job 5:8 - 9 - However, If I were you, I would appeal to God and would present my case to Him, He does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number.  As Minister Rob Mosley would say " I could stay here for a while”. Jesus Christ the, Most High God, who sits at the right hand of our Father has saved me from death so many times, too many to count. One thing that I have learned from Pastor Cockrell is that when you pray, trust the prayer if you know the Lord as your Savior. Trust Him on His Word . He is not dead nor is He dormant.  He is alive and waiting. Ask Him for what you want and act as though you have received what you are praying for. Luke 1:37 For no word from God will ever fail. Luke 1:49 - for the Mighty One has done great things for me and Holy is His name. Mark 9:23-  If you can said Jesus. Everything is possible for one who believe. Trust the Lord, and don't lean on your own understanding.  Let Him know what you want to do, and He will make your way clear. We must learn to trust, trust, trust Him. Promise keeper yes! Ps145:13 says, Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom; Your rule is for all generations. The Lord is faithful in all His words and gracious in all His actions. Well as I said earlier He has taken me to death's door and back. You know, when you are suffering with a deadly disease or situation your whole perception of things change. You talk about praying, I remember going into transplant surgery at midnight on May 28th, and when I woke up it was June 14th. This type of surgery is usually about 4 to 12 hours long. But much like Abraham I didn't waiver in unbelief; Romans 4:20-21 he did not waiver in unbelief at God's promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,  because he was fully convinced that what God had promised, He was also able to do. At that moment that midnight hour on May 28th my life was about to hang in the balance. All that I could do was bow my heart to the Lord, for he was all that I had left. Jesus is my Light in the darkness. John 12:46 - I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me would not remain in darkness. John 8:12 - Jesus spoke to them again: I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life. He has brought me through the valley of the shadow of death time after time. There is no other choice. Trust Hm!

Prayer: ABBA Father, my King of all kings and Lord of all lords who lives in heaven, Your name shall be praised GREATLY! I thank You for life and even life again! Thank You also for giving me a story to tell. Amen
