When Hope Is Deferred

Scripture: (Proverbs 13:12 (NKJ) - Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when desire comes, it is a tree of life. This scripture shed so much truth in the lives of many.
The object that is hoped for and the expectation of having it is projected in the mind of the person waiting. When that which is expected, is still yet far off- in his mind is not a good feeling. It does happen and in the course of ones’ life, there appears to be no remedy to ease the discomfort for the person waiting.
An explanation of (Prov. 13:12) demonstrates the frustration of a person having to wait -- for as his mind begins to become uneasy with doubt. There are thoughts that this thing is subject to crash, thus coming to a sudden end. The persons’ heart began to sink under the pressure of the long, long wait. There is a tendency that this person may become quite distressed, depressed, distant, despondent; and literally giving up on all hope of ever enjoying the desired outcome. The individual’s evil thoughts inflame his imagination, pressuring the person to give in.
I have listed a few things that folks wait in hope of a desired fulfilment. The hope of being the recipient of a human organ, a veteran return from serving on foreign soil, college/university acceptance or waiting for home repairs/renovations. No doubt, it can be a tough wait. Prayer strengthens while you wait (Isaiah 40:31).
When the desire is fulfilled; “ it is a tree of life”, as stated it in Proverbs 13:12b. Desired fulfillment brings about unspeakable joy, delight refreshing, and satisfying. The tree of life symbolizes peacefulness, calmness and relaxation. For, in the appointed time God will fulfill His Word. Wait I say on the Lord ( Isaiah 40:31). One must pray without ceasing, yet don’t just pray alone -- act in faith to receive from God. Faith guarantees victory.
Prayer: Lord, I tend to from time to time load myself down with unnecessary baggies. It is until the weight becomes so unbearable that I turn to You for release. You have faithfully been there all along to shield, protect and guide Your children. Forgive me. Teach to ( “ASK”) - ask, seek and keep on believing that You are a pray answering God. In Jesus’ name. Amen

When does hope deferred turn into false hope, because I have been living in this hell for 11 years, and I am so done. Hope deferred does far more damage than not bothering to hope at all. Hope is CRUEL, and it's GOD'S SOVEREIGN tool to beat us down.
