Our Great Creator

Colossians 1:16  - For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.  All things were created through Him and for Him.
                 
 Color fills our world with beauty.  We delight in the colors of a magnificent sunset and in the bright red and golden – yellow of autumn.  We are charmed by gorgeous flowering plants and the brilliantly colored arch of a rainbow.  We also use color in various ways to add pleasure and interest to our lives. Color serves as a means of communication. In sports, different colored uniforms show which team the players are on. On streets and highways, a red traffic light tells drivers to stop, and a green light tells them to go. And oh yes, the yellow one tells us to yield or slow down.

God has created all things for His glory. Colossians 1:16 “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.  All things were created through Him and for Him.” Our lives, as creatures of a sovereign God, are colored throughout this journey called life.  Just think, if He created something out of nothing and His creativity is unlimited, what can’t He do through the believer that will say “Yes, Lord Your will be done!” In this unprecedented time, the Lord wants us to maximize our giftedness in these new circumstances and situations. Even some failures can now become steppingstones to things that will further the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the growth and encouragement of believers.

Prayer:  Lord, yes You created all things for Your glory. Take this new season and help us to focus and commit to Your creative ways of caring for the Body of Christ and furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May we be endowed with a new level of excitement, boldness and opportunity for making You known.
