Messy Matters That Matter

Scripture - Genesis 29:30 Then Jacob also went in to Rachel, and he also loved Rachel more than Leah. And he served with Laban still another seven years.

Genesis 30:24 24 So she called his name [a]Joseph, and said, “The Lord shall add to me another son.”

Even when we are messed up
It will never ruin or mess God up

Even though the Lord gives us free will
It will never cancel His divine plans, still

And, even when we are far from spiritual
It doesn’t stop the Lord from being merciful

The Lord can mold us, despite the mess we make
Even during dark days, fruit can be bear His way

What God allows, He can use to train us
He’s aiming to break, humble, and change us

The Lord mandates His divine plans in messy matters
My petitions may be good, but His will sets the standard

Clearly, our ways are not the Lord’s ways
The cleansing of messy matters means changing old ways

So, now my old tendencies must be corrected
For God ways to be mine, former ways are rejected

Today, I understand the lengthy and uncomfortable process
He desires growth in our mess to solidify divine progress

Prayer: Lord, even during our mess, you are the best. You are still in control. Continue to have mercy upon me during my dark hours. Thank you for my memory from the messy matters in the past and how You delivered me. I will continue to hide Your Word in my heart. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen!
