A Right Now Praise!

Scripture:  Psalm 92: 1 “It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your Name, O Most High”

In the book, The Hallelujah Factor by Jack Taylor, he says that “God is at home in praise and when you and I choose to make God at home through praise, we invite Him to act at home. At home, He does what it is in His divine nature to do to bring healing and transformation.” Sometimes our pain takes away our praise and we don’t “feel” like praising Him, but praise God anyway because it’s about His glory and not our feelings.

Psalm 8:2 says “From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.” Jack Taylor says “Praise is strength, and strength is praise. The enemy is stopped dead in his tracks! Neither the devil nor his demons can offer any protest after praise. They are hushed. Mystery of mysteries! Depression and praise cannot live long in the same heart. They are absolutely incompatible roommates.”

The pain of the heart is real (“Why is this happening to me syndrome?”) and can bring about a weakness in our faith experience. Praise opens the door for God to do some exchanging. Isaiah 40:31 says “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Remember, time is our friend. Patiently waiting and yielding provides God the opportunity to exchange our weakness for His strength. The “Why me?” becomes the “Why not me?” I’m not greater than the Master, and if Jesus learned obedience by the things He suffered, who am I!
So never stop praising the Lord for who He is or for what He is doing in your life. There will always be “glory stealers” or “praise paupers.” The Lord knew that we would be hurt, that life would disappoint, and we would fail one another. So, I dare you to stop right now and give the Lord a “RIGHT NOW PRAISE” for Who He Is!!

Prayer:  O Lord, I want to thank You and praise You for the greatness of Who You are and that You have allowed me the privilege of knowing You to experience You. Hallelujah!!
