I’ve Tested Positive for Faith

Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.
Afflictions and cancers exist frequently around the world
The victims include men, woman, babies, boys, and girls
Fear has taken over the hearts of millions
Our faith is overshadowed by emotions and feelings
Not that I shouldn’t be concerned
But, He who is in you is greater, than he who is in the world
The effects around afflictions seem so unfair
Yet, faith says, what’s in front of me, the Lord is already there
Although, faith doesn’t make things easier or unstoppable
Luke chapter 1 verse 37 tells me, faith makes things possible
Therefore, I can’t just believe in the Lord, I must know Him
A personal relationship through faith, I must show Him
Faith is not an event or a place that we visit
It’s a lifestyle of dependency with a willingness to live it
So, I must meet my fears with faith
His commands, Word, and promises assure my safety
After all, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the
One who leads
It’s beyond my emotions, it’s beyond my intellect
My five senses don’t have the last word, faith interjects
David was an unlikely opponent for the giant, but he was chosen by God
Faith anticipates beyond expectations when matters are difficult and hard
See, true faith is man's weakness leaning on God's strength
The primary principles to a faith mindset are persistence and patience
The meaning of, this too shall pass, for many could vary
Believers understand seasons change, yet, we choose the burdens carried
Therefore, I am willing to take the test to make sure I’m spiritually safe
My praise report reads, I’ve tested positive for faith
My symptoms are I am a believer of Jesus Christ
He is my focus during any spiritual outbreaks in life
I seek first the kingdom of God for deliverance
The scripture relays to me His divine promises
I’m protected and treated from the inside out
My eternal destination gives hope through any season with droughts
So, the test score assures me that I’m spiritually safe
To God be the glory, I’ve tested positive for faith
Prayer: Lord You said it is impossible to please You without faith. We need You!. Affliction and trouble are before us. Meanwhile, fear continues to rise. We come to You for refuge. We come to You for Your promises. We come to You for hope. There is nothing that can be done without You. Our physical resources are limited, while You are unlimited. Again Father, give us hope. You promised to never leave us nor forsake us. We come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen!
