A SAINT who Shared and Beared My Burdens
Restoring a piece of furniture is a messy business. The paint stripper, scraper, and layers and layers of gunk! Sometimes restoring an erring one can be just as messy, if we focus on the process rather than the finished product. This week our Devotional team tackles this all-too-common challenge called, “Restoration!” Meditate on this scripture and may its conviction humble you.
SCRIPTURE: “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.” Galatians 6:1
I have had seasons where I've been overtaken by my burdens and sin,
Yet, a SAINT came to bear and share my burden so I could spiritually contend.
This SAINT saw me struggling in the horror of my transgressions,
Without help, my downfall and demise were slowly but surely progressing.
Although this evil took a toll on me, it even offended the SAINT,
Yet, I was dealt with without punishment for restoration and healing’s sake.
The SAINT’S gentleness was comforting on the journey to my repentance,
Yet, he had to remain secured in the Spirit to avoid judgment or even being tempted.
The SAINT directed all of the attention away from comparing my situation to self,
Carefully avoiding comparing my sins to his, so I can see God’s faithfulness and divine help.
The SAINT stood on bearing my burdens even when I tried to push the SAINT away,
He shared my guilt, shame, and pain by imitating Christ, so I won’t go astray.
This SAINT loved me unconditionally and remained humble,
This SAINT recognized he could be in my shoes or just as vulnerable.
The grace of God was working as the SAINT ministered to me without condemnation,
The SAINT pointed me to God’s mercy and cause me to remove my pride in self-examination.
A one-another mindset was displayed in how this SAINT helped restore my spiritual condition,
My burdens were beared and shared through Christ, in love, with gentleness, and divine submission.
Prayer: Lord, I’ve experienced being a burden bearer as well as my burdens needing to be addressed. I must depend on You for my burdens to be addressed on both sides. It requires the Holy Spirit to minister the help needed. All I can say is Thank You Jesus! You are all I need! In the name of Your Son!

What a blessing it is to have such a saint. What a blessing it is to aspire to be such a saint.
Throughout it all what a blessing it is to have and know "God with us."
What a blessing to be a "Burden Bearer" and a "Burden Carrier"!!
What a blessing to to have non-judgmental burden bearer who sees your issue and handles biblically with love, less they fall!
Amen ! God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens!!
Amen!!! Thankful for those who come alongside to aide in restoration.
