We are the Lord’s

SCRIPTURE: “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God (2) Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. (3) For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (4)When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4
“I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.”
 Philippians 4:13
Have you ever thought about what it truly means to be God’s earthly possession, His slave, His servant?  Once we understand and are apprehended by and with Christ’s work on the cross and His resurrection, we become His light and His letter to the world.  We are no longer to live unto ourselves.  We put to death all things that prove diabolical to our new life with Christ.  Lying, anger, fornication, blasphemy, and such are not to be named among us.  It may be hidden now, but we are the Lord’s Glorified, Righteous, and Holy people.

Crucifying the former life by believing and aligning with Christ sets us up for earthly victory and an eternal life with our God.  Colossians 3, states that in our new life in Christ, we are to “seek the things which are above” (where our Lord is); and our lives are hidden with Christ in God.  Galatians 2:20, states that we are “crucified with Christ” and Christ becomes our life and our righteousness.  Christ living in and through us makes us effective and profitable for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.  There is only life in Christ!

In Christ, our ultimate enemy, sin, is expunged.  Romans 6:13, says “the wages of sin is death.”  Therefore, Christ took the wrath of God so that we could live as Holy and Righteous conquerors.  The weapons of this world that are posed to destroy and render us ineffective, are powerless.  We can go through our God-assigned storms and not fear; for the worst death is behind us.  We are for His glory!

The Christian’s death places us in Christ's presence for 2 Corinthians 5:8 proclaims “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”  All of what was hidden will be seen. We will be glorified as He is glorified.  Therefore, we don’t have to fear.  Nothing else matters. We are the Lords and He loves us with an everlasting love. Power belongs to Him exclusively.  We are His servants willing to do for His good pleasure.  Therefore, come what may.  We win!  We are the Lord’s.  We live; we move; we breathe; we have our being to bring Glory to our God!  Hallelujah!

PRAYER:
Lord, we thank You for the Faith we have in Christ’s redemptive work on the cross.  We believe Your Word is true and that You will never leave us nor forsake us.  For you have already seated us in the Heavenlies.  We thank You for the opportunity to serve You on earth before a dark world.  We know it is by Your Grace and awesome Will that we are Yours.  In Jesus’ Name - Amen!

Amen! I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth... Let us hold fast to the Word of life, until the day of Christ, that we may be pleased to not have labored in vain, nor run this race in vain. May each heart abound, as an overcomer, all to His glory! Amen.
