A Supernatural Love

Thank You Jesus, for taking the initiative to love me,
An unconditional gesture was made despite me.

Thank You Jesus, that salvation was not left up to me,
It was because You loved me first, and I chose to agree.

This experience established that divine love comes from one source,
He enables us to love Him and love others despite their path or course.

It’s a foundational truth that emphasizes the capacity to love,
A reflection of His deity and what human ability is not capable of.

You acted first in grace by sending Your only begotten Son, Christ Jesus,
You could have turned away, denied sinners and nonbelievers for many reasons.

True selfless love isn’t produced internally or naturally,
God’s love is a stream that flows from His fountain eternally.

Our affection for the Lord acknowledges that we were bought a price,
It’s fueled by a deep appreciation for His love, care, and sacrifice.

The love we have for Him is born out of freewill and gratitude,
It’s not a self-generated act or effort, but a divine affection that’s valued.

Therefore, when there is a struggle to love, consider that Christ's choice was demanding,
It’s a reminder to meditate on His suffering on the cross to renew one’s understanding.

PRAYER: There is nothing like the love of Jesus! I am highly favored because He chose to love me first. I am so undeserving. Teach me Lord, how to love like You. You are worthy of being praised! In the matchless name of Jesus.
