Use Me Lord, Even Me
SCRIPTURE: “Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.’” Matthew 16:24-25

It is possible to be too big for God to use you, but never too small for God to use you. The fundamental law in Christ’s classroom of learning is denying self for His glory and honor, denying self for the brethren and even denying our own selfish appetites. Matthew 16:24-25 says, “Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”’
The life of Jesus was one of humiliation – He was made under the law; He lived a life of poverty; there was nowhere to lay His head; He was a man of sorrows acquainted with grief; and He died a sacrificial death. Jesus, being in the form of God, was the very nature and personality of God, yet He clothed Himself in the “rags” of humanity. Never did He consider it “robbery to be equal with God.” Jesus used His equality with God as an opportunity, not for self-exaltation, but for self-abasement – but to empty Himself.
PRAYER: It’s me, it’s me oh Lord standing in the need of prayer and power. I choose to continue to learn to deny myself so that I can experience YOU = to take up my cross so that I can experience YOU = to follow so that I can experience YOU!!!

My Lord, Yes! ?? Less of me and more of Him! ??
"I need Your Glory, I want Your Glory, Less of me and more of You is All I Need"!!!??
Amen! I need Thee oh I need Thee, every hour I need Thee! Use me Lord for Your glory!
Thank You, LORD, for choosing me, for Your Spirit prompting me to choose You in response, for changing my desires once and then daily, turning me around, and letting me stumble less and less towards the goal of knowing You, and cultivating fruit from that appreciation of You near. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of a confessional opportunity, often, and for the consequence of spiritual cleansing. Thank You for loving correction and for forgiveness, for 'even me'. Amen.
Learning to deny self is a life long lesson. Thank you, Lord for Your example.
