THE INEVITABILITY OF DIVISION

SCRIPTURE: “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34
After the September 10th slaying of Christian conservative and patriot Charlie Kirk of Salem News Channel, no one who professes to know Christ Jesus should be harboring any confusion about the insidious nature of this ideological and primarily spiritual war in our nation. It is undeniably one between God and Satan, good and evil, righteousness and ungodliness. The enemy’s “playbook” is the same—calling good evil and evil good, putting darkness for light, and light for darkness, putting bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter, (Isaiah 5:20). The ancient antichristian strategies are still in force, as they continue to be effective, or so it seems: sow discord and rejection of His Holy Word, the Bible, even amongst professing believers; divide and conquer! The results of sin and unbelief
are predictable and inevitable. Are they not? Is it not written in Scripture that “The good hate the badness of the wicked. The wicked hate the goodness of the good [Proverbs 29:25 TLB].

We who believe on Christ must cease and desist from lining up with those who are hostile to the causes of Christ and His righteousness. Get on the Lord’s side; REPENT of double-mindedness! Remember that our Savior said the days are coming when people will think they are serving God by murdering those He has deemed righteous. [See John 16:2] Open your eyes, you who CLAIM to know the Lord, and yet agree and identify with the abominable attitudes and worldviews being systematically amplified during this period of history! Remember the words of 2 Timothy 2:19—“the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His.” And, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

PRAYER: Oh, Father, may we who know You take heed in being “wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” Continue to embolden Your redeemed ones to proclaim and live out Christ-defined righteousness in these perilous times. Thank You, in Jesus’ name—AMEN.
