A Samaritan Meets The Messiah (Blessed Woman #2)

SCRIPTURE: “And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, 'He told me all that I ever did.' 40 So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. 41 And many more believed because of His own word. 42 Then they said to the woman, 'Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.'” John 4:39-42
What’s your story when having a face-to-face encounter with Jesus as a woman,
Is it shame, embarrassment, or regret in consideration of where you’ve come from.

Imagine the Samaritan woman at the well,
Consider her background and how she may have felt.

The encounter eliminated any judgment, racial, gender, or social prejudices,
Little did the woman know that this direct moment would describe our present advantages.

An outcast openly engaged and encouraged by Jesus Christ face-to-face,
He shared that He is the Messiah, yet He is willing to personally associate.

The Samaritan Woman received an offer that would forever change her life,
A promise that she will never thirst again because she believes in Jesus Christ.

He met her, knowing her past and present sins,
He’s aware of what she’s done and where she’s been.

However, the Lord revealed that she has a purpose within,
Also, to know Him is the opportunity to be loved and forgiven.

As a result, the Samaritan Woman ran and told many about her blessed story,
The beauty of it all, she shared the good things of Christ and gave Him the glory.

How can we keep this living water a secret?
Once it’s given, we can forever and ever keep it.

We don’t have to hide on the sideline, isolated or private,
We don’t have to feel judged or shameful, while silenced.

The Lord sees us, hears us, and sympathizes with us within our circumstances,
He doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called for Kingdom advancement.

As did the Samaritan Woman, initially, we may struggle with faith, fear, and trust,
To experience the way, the truth, and the life, we believe He will never leave nor forsake us.

Praise God!
Because of the testimony of the Samaritan Woman, we are open to surrendering our hearts,
No matter what our race, gender, status, or sin, the Lord is willing and able to provide a fresh start.

PRAYER: You are wonderful Lord! You are marvelous! We are thankful to receive the love You have demonstrated to us, despite us. In the matchless name of Jesus.
