Sarah’s Legacy in Faith (Blessed Woman #3)

SCRIPTURES:   “Then God said: ‘No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.’” Genesis 17: 19
“And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. 2 For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. 3 And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him—whom Sarah bore to him—Isaac.” Genesis 21:1-3
“By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she[a] bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.” Hebrews 11:11
“For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, 6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.”
1 Peter 3:5-6
The mother of nations and a praiseworthy matriarch,
Trusting the Lord with all her heart became her trademark.

Sarah is known as the spiritual mother to believers,
Celebrated in Hebrews 11 for her faith and obedience.

Her inner beauty stood the test of time, gracefully,
A hero with flaws, but served intentionally and faithfully.

As we often do, we initially display distrust and doubt,
Knowingly, faith becomes an obstacle course with difficult routes.

We all know Sarah’s story began with her unbelief,
She was impatient, longed for a child, but eventually conceived.

Through obedience, she followed God’s calling on her husband, Abraham,
Sarah abandoned her comfortable life for a foreign land called Canaan.

These biblical accounts are an inspiration for women today,
Representing the covenant of freedom and grace as a hero of faith.

Consider your life, husband, family, church, and community,
What does your impact look like as a woman with opportunities?

Where does your faith stand when things are challenging and unclear?
What’s the default in your heart, whether belief, distrust, faith, or fear?

The Lord kept His promises, provided protection, and proved His power,
Just as He did with Sarah, a woman’s faith starts as a bud that blooms into a flower.

Dreams and God's favor don’t have deadlines,
Grace and mercy don’t have deadlines.

Therefore, we can follow Sarah’s legacy as the blueprint of faith,
Even better, we can follow a God who, through it all, we can be safe.

PRAYER: Thank You, Father, for the lessons revealed to us for encouragement. You are worthy of being praised! In the name of Jesus!
