SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE: “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”  2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Father in Heaven, we thank You once again for the Word, for the entrance of It does give us light. You sustain us, It feeds our spirit, fortifies our soul, and we are stronger because the Word sustains us. We thank You for It. Today, for all gathered here, even for those who are not here but who belong to this flock, I pray, oh God, that You would do a mighty work of healing in the inner man, where many are hurting, where many are bound, afflicted. Some are caught in webs of darkness, bitterness, anger, loneliness, deceit. All of those internal struggles which are potential strongholds for demonic activity. We pray in Jesus’ name for the breaking of those bondages and for a people who would walk in the freedom that has already been secured for us by Jesus Christ. We are free by the power of Jesus Christ and all that He has done for us! So I pray this day that You would enable us not just to know it but to be compelled in our Spirit to walk in it, and to walk authoritatively, and no longer be bound by fear, but to believe that You are and that You are a rewarder of those that diligently seek You. To know that You are a Keeper of Your Word, and that You do keep us in peace when our minds are stayed on You. So, as a people today, whatever You say, we believe It! Even beyond our ability to understand all of It, if You said It, we believe It and that settles it! In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen and Amen.
