SCRIPTURE: "Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God. " 1 Corinthians 4:5 NKJV

Dear Lord God, I have earnestly confessed to You my recurring tendency over the years of
second-guessing others’ salvation—particularly that of a few who’re closest to me--- as if such suspicions or judgmentalism were some sort of a calling; and yet such judging on my part [or yours, dear readers], MUST be refrained from until Jesus comes, for this is SOLELY His job—not mine or anyone else’s, John 5:22 warns. We’re commanded to not judge by appearance [superficially and arrogantly], according to John 7:24.
In reference to the carnal believer, each person is as yielded to Your Holy Spirit as they desire to be, just as Abe Lincoln is quoted as having said concerning personal happiness—i.e., that each person is as happy as he or she desires to be. No one should place themselves on the throne of God as it pertains to someone else’s spiritual condition. {Our judgments are not always trustworthy, for they’re certainly not always righteous; neither are you and I omniscient. You know what I’m sayin’}.
Sure, we’re to share the gospel as Your Spirit, dear Lord, leads us, but assessing another’s level of faith or fervor of heart for things pertinent to You, is NOT my business, because before You, my Lord, they (and I, too) will stand or they’ll fall; [Rom. 14:4] they’ll hear ‘Well done, good and faithful servant,’ or they’ll be told at that second resurrection, ”Depart from Me, you worker of iniquity; I never knew you.” [I never had relationship with you]. It is enough for me, for my own sake, to stay focused on Christ Jesus, on pleasing and glorifying
Him who gave His all for me!
PRAYER Cont’d: Dear Abba, I earnestly RENEW my resolve to cease and desist from harboring opinions about anyone else’s walk or lack thereof with You, dear Savior. Ultimately, their salvation is Your business, Father. Let me not ever be a stumbling block to any one’s recognition and conviction of their need of trusting in You through Christ, in whose name I pray, AMEN.
