Facing the Unexpected While on the Path of Life

Scripture: "… those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall
mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk
and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31 NKJ)
mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk
and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31 NKJ)
There are such days in our lives that we wonder if God has failed us. There is no
song in our heart, a flock of birds excretes their last meal on my head, and every
circumstance without and within becomes my source of pain. As you find yourself
in the center of a crisis, life gets hard, and as we walk, it gets harder to focus. The
Lord gives us the ability to walk and to keep walking. If you find yourselves in the
middle of the battle and without a weapon, “trust the Lord (Prov. 3:5).” Do not
deny where you are and what you are experiencing. When things fall apart, wait
on the Lord (Isaiah 40:29), and do not question Him. Those who wait gain new
strength to walk and keep walking. Philippians 4:13 reminds us that we can do all
things through Christ who strengthens us. Practice depending on and trusting
Him before a crisis comes and acknowledge Him as Lord over everything and
every situation.
I am reminded of Isaiah 40:28, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? Do you
not yet understand the Lord.” The Lord is everlasting; He is not limited by time;
He is the creator of the ends of the earth; He has the power to overrule; He will
not grow tired or weary, and His understanding is unsearchable; it does not
always add up to what we think.
Lamentations 3:25 declares that waiting for the Lord teaches us to seek God
and draw near to Him when He is yet to answer our prayers. God is good to those
who wait on Him – because then He knows those who trust and depend on Him.
We cannot outrun life’s crises; however, we acknowledge Him who strengthens
us to continue walking and to keep us walking when we face the unexpected.
Prayer: Lord, Your Word says that You will never leave me nor forsake me. For You have never
failed me. You are the best teacher (in Your Word) that we will ever know. Yes, I trust You who
made the heavens and the earth. Hallelujah, Amen.

Amen and Amen!
Amen, amen, Sis. Novella. Waiting on our Lord-a true measure of our trusting Him. Wonderful transparency. Thank you.🌹
Amen Sister Novella. Our Father thank you for showing me the path of life. How to live with purpose.what to avoid and what to embrace...
Amen. Wait on the Lord, and be of good courage. It is normal to have the unexpected come. And it is reasonable to know God is very present, when it has come.
