SCRIPTURE: “And You Shall Seek Me and Find Me with All Your Heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

I was Saved in 1978 by God's Grace and Mercy at Mercy Hospital Baltimore, Md. I cried out to God that I knew I had to come through Jesus. He heard my cry and blessed me with slow healing and everything I needed on this journey. After seven years of growing in the Lord, I knew I needed to find a Bible believing church.

To Search is to look carefully to find something. The need for a Bible believing church was my focus. My mother and I were on a mission. Visiting AME and Baptist churches all over Baltimore for well over a year. Investigating and seeking to find a home church was our goal. A friend and member from Berean Bible Church advised me to visit Genesis Bible Fellowship (located at the League). So we did. We visited other churches and continued back and forth to Genesis. We returned now more often to Genesis.

To Examine  is to carefully investigate. We studied closely as we heard the Word of God being taught plainly and in great detail by Pastor Cockrell. It was moving us to make a decision to join Genesis.

To Find is to locate what you have been looking for. As we continued to visit, we continued standing up every time visitors were asked to stand. By now we were at Genesis every Sunday. Pastor Cockrell stated, “YES, stand every time, maybe you will join us.” By the way, it was OK with me to keep folding chairs after Sunday Service.(L.O.L.) A decision was made and we joined Genesis Bible Fellowship Church in 1988.  

I am thankful for God's Word, seeking, and finding with all my heart.  I have experienced knowing the True and Living GOD, A Church Home, A Church Family, and Church Love.

PRAYER: Thank You Father for salvation and growth in Christ Jesus. Praises for Your Word of truth in leading and guiding me to find and accept Your Everlasting Love, Pastor Cockrell and the Genesis Bible Fellowship Church. AMEN & AMEN !
