SUNDAY MORNING PRAYERS with Pastor Wayne Cockrell

SCRIPTURE: “For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.” Colossians 1:9-12
Father in heaven, we thank You so very much that we can rejoice today in our salvation. You have been the God of our salvation.  You and Your wisdom determined how You can be the Just and the Justifier. You can judge and yet at the same time willing to forgive those who will come by faith through the shed blood of the gift of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, for those who are tuning in, for those who are listening, those who will be tuning in for years to come, oh God we pray for mighty work of Your Spirit, causing hearts to bend, to bow, to break, to seek after You, especially in this season.  When man is brought to the end of themselves, please cause souls to come to Jesus. Cause people to look beyond themselves and realize that we need a Savior. One who can secure our souls beyond the limitations of the world we live in, but a Savior who can not only save us from physical death ultimately, but who can also save us from spiritual death eternally and we'll get the praise for that. In Jesus’ name, amen and amen.
